Best Tech Gifts Under €50 (2026): 8 Useful Gadgets People Actually Use

The best tech gifts under €50 for 2026: power banks, chargers, AirTags, smart plugs, earbuds and gaming gear – with EU prices and honest cons.

TechHive EditorialUpdated 7 min read

Good tech gifts don’t have to be expensive. Under €50 you can buy things people actually use every day: a power bank that rescues a dying phone, a charger that replaces three bricks, earbuds for the commute or a tracker that finds lost keys. This guide skips gimmicks and focuses on gifts that reviewers rate well and that are easy to buy from Amazon in Europe.

Prices are approximate and were checked in October 2026; several of these regularly drop further during Black Week (20–27 November) – see our Black Friday headphones guide for audio deals.

A power bank is the gift almost nobody buys for themselves but everybody ends up using. This Anker has a USB-C cable built into the case, so there’s nothing to forget, and it charges a phone at up to 30 W – enough for roughly two full phone charges. Anker sells several similar Nano models, so check the exact capacity and cable before you buy.

Price-comparison listings in October 2026 start at around €37, and Amazon has had it below €30 in earlier sales.

A single tag costs €35; the two-pack was €53.98 at Amazon.de in June 2026, which makes a nice “one for the keys, one for the bag” gift. The P115 also measures energy use and shows what each device costs to run – handy with today’s electricity prices. PC Games Hardware saw it at €11.99 on Amazon.de in September 2026, so you could even give a two-pack.

5. Sony WF-C510 — best earbuds under €50

How to choose a tech gift under €50

Check compatibility first

The most common gift mistake is buying for the wrong ecosystem. AirTags only work with iPhones; some smart plugs need 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi; a 65 W charger only helps if the laptop charges over USB-C. If you’re unsure, a power bank or earbuds work with almost everything.

Look for EU plugs and EU warranty

Chargers and smart plugs must match the local socket – German/French Type F and E sockets differ from UK Type G. Buy from the retailer itself or a seller with an EU address so the two-year legal guarantee applies.

Buy early, or in Black Week

Many of these products get their lowest prices of the year between 20 and 30 November. Amazon usually extends its return window for Christmas purchases made in November and December, so buying early is low-risk – check the current terms.

Add a personal touch

Cheap tech gifts feel more thoughtful with a small extra: a keyring holder for an AirTag, a USB-C cable with the charger, or a pre-set smart plug schedule.

How we choose

We haven’t tested these gadgets ourselves. Our picks are based on reviews and deal coverage from Macwelt, PC Games Hardware, GIGA, hifi.de and our own product research, plus current EU prices. We list each product’s limits as well as its strengths. See how we research.

FAQ

What’s a good tech gift under €50 for someone who has everything?

A fast power bank or a compact multi-port charger – people rarely buy these for themselves, but use them daily.

Is an AirTag a good gift for an Android user?

No. AirTags only work with iPhones. Choose Samsung’s SmartTag2 (for Samsung phones) or a Tile tracker instead.

Do smart plugs work without an Alexa or Google speaker?

Yes. The Tapo P115 is controlled from the free Tapo app; voice control is optional.

When are these cheapest?

Usually during Black Week (20–27 November) and on Cyber Monday (30 November).
