Privacy Policy

TEMPLATE — must be completed and reviewed before publishing. This is a starting point, not legal advice. Fill in all placeholders in [square brackets] and have the text checked by a qualified professional, ideally using a GDPR policy generator or a lawyer in your country, before the site goes live.

1. Controller

The controller responsible for data processing on this website under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:

[Your name / company name]
[Street and number]
[Postcode, city, country]
Email: [privacy@techhiveclub.com]

2. Overview

We want to collect as little personal data as possible. This website does not use advertising or analytics tracking cookies, and it does not load fonts or scripts from third-party servers.

3. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by [hosting provider name, address]. When you visit the site, the server automatically records technical information in log files. This includes your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the referrer, and your browser and operating system. This is necessary to deliver the website securely and stably (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, legitimate interest). Log files are deleted after [7–14] days unless they’re needed to investigate a security incident. We have concluded a data processing agreement with our host [if applicable].

4. Cookies

Our website itself does not set tracking cookies. [If you later add analytics, comments, a newsletter or embedded content, update this section and add a consent banner where required.]

5. Affiliate links

Our articles contain affiliate links to retailers such as Amazon and to partners in networks such as Awin. When you click a shop link, our server registers an anonymous click count (product, shop and country only, with no IP address and no browser identifier) and redirects you to the retailer. Once you’re on the retailer’s website, that retailer and any affiliate network involved may set their own cookies and process your data under their own privacy policies. This lets them attribute a purchase to our site. Please refer to the privacy policies of:

  • Amazon Europe Core S.à r.l. (Amazon’s privacy notice on the relevant marketplace)
  • Awin AG and the respective retailer
  • [Other partners]

6. Contact by email

If you contact us by email, we process your message and email address to answer your request (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). We delete the data when it is no longer needed, unless we’re legally required to keep it.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • access your personal data (Art. 15);
  • have it corrected (Art. 16) or erased (Art. 17);
  • restrict processing (Art. 18);
  • data portability (Art. 20);
  • object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21);
  • lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in your country of residence.

8. Changes

We may update this policy when our website or the law changes. Last updated: [date].
